elizabeth.creith@aol.com

Elizabeth Creith sold her first humour piece, “A Loom with A Zoo” to Threads Magazine in 1990. She began writing and broadcasting for CBC Radio Sudbury in 1993, and did freelance work for them for a decade. During that time Scholastic published her first book, “Erik the Viking Sheep”.

She wrote and read on-air a monthly letter about shepherding for Bill Richardson’s Roundup, which gave rise to her second book, “Shepherd in Residence” (Scrivener Press, 2012).

From 2004 to the present she has published articles, poetry and stories in various online and print publications, including Old Farmer’s Almanac, Canadian Living, Chicken Soup for the Soul and, most recently, the British mystery magazine The Strand. She has also had four humour columns, the latest of which, “Over the Ridge”, is published monthly in the Sault Star. Currently she has over 400 publication credits, and has won awards for her poetry, fiction and non-fiction, as well as seven grants to support her writing.
